>> The Trump Organization will sell its stake in a landmark Manhattan hotel and condominium. New York Times on Wednesday reported the Trump family reached a deal that end its ownership in the 46 storey Trump Soho Hotel, severing ties with the California investment firm that owns the building. The skyscraper was among the most ambitious US projects launched by the Trump Organization.
It was first announced by Trump 11 years ago on his reality television show, The Apprentice. The 5 star hotel faced challenges filling rooms and cut rates to lure guests. An on sight restaurant also shut its doors in April because of a drop in customers after the election. Since Trump was elected, he's frequently promoted the family brand.
He still owns the company but says he plays no part in its operations.
