COMING UP:Share Opener Variant 3

>> And specialty dining.>> A sea of technology could be at your fingertips the next time you board a cruise ship. On Royal Caribbean's latest fleets, facial recognition will replace checking counters. And virtual and augmented reality can transport you to an island by the beach, or to a night under the stars.
I'm Yahira Hawkins at a warehouse in Brooklyn which has been transformed by Royal Caribbean Cruises to simulate a new, more high-tech cruise experience.>> Guests will be able to track their luggage.>> And the tech torrent starts before you even decide to set foot on the ship. Royal Caribbean's new app will allow passengers to sample their excursions-
>> I've never been snorkeling before.>> Virtually from their living room. The cruise line is also testing a dining concept where passengers strap on a virtual reality headset and the scene changes based on what you're eating.>> So we need to keep to keep running just to stay up with the technology.
So I think the new technology is essential to any business today. It's not something people would like to see, It's something they expect to see. And we have to meet that need.>> The high tech amenities are the cruise industry's latest attempt to lure Millennials, who on average travel more than older generations and value experiences.
Earlier this year, U by Uniworld launched the first ever cruise brand for Millennials only. Its two ships feature slick communal hangout spots, cabins stocked with sustainable brands and locally sourced food options. Carnival Cruise Line's also upping it's tech game unveiling a wearable device this year that acts as a personal digital concierge.
It tracks a passenger's preferences and then offers curated recommendations for activities and food.
