Self styled bad boy and conservative tech colonist, Milo Yiannopoulos, banned by the social media site for fueling racist tons at Ghostbuster's star, Leslie Jones. Twitter releasing a statement that no one deserves to be subjected to online abuse.
Not naming names, but adding that after an uptick in harassment over the past 48 hours, it has permanently banned accounts, the Breitbart columnist confirming his is shut. The ugly drama unfolding over days, with Jones targeted with racist and misogynistic rants from Twitter trolls for her role in the all female update of Ghost Busters.
The backlash so intense she started re-tweeting some of the more repulsive messages. That prompted Yiannopoulos to tweet at her, if at first you don't succeed because your work terrible, play the victim. More back and forth between the two ensued with Twitter founder Jack Dorsey even publicly reaching out to Jones, but ultimately not able to keep her as a user.
The actress finally abandoning her account saying, I leave Twitter tonight with tears and a very sad heart, all this cuz I did a movie. The right wing fanboy reported announcing his Twitter ban at the Republican Convention, wearing a bullet proof vest, and releasing a statement against Twitter, saying quote, like all acts of the totalitarian regressive left, this will blow up in their faces netting more adoring fans.
