It's the latest in a string of tests as the isolated state beefs up its weapons program. This launch seems to be in retaliation for a US, South Korea anti missile system in the pipeline.
News of the terminal high altitude area defense anti missile system or THAAD has angered Pyongyang. Prompting it to warn of a quote physical response to the deployment. Earlier this year, the UN slapped tough new sanctions on North Korea in response to its fourth nuclear test in January. South Korea warns the North could conduct another test at any time.
Pyongyang says whether or not it does is up to Washington's behavior, declaring the US responsible for destroying the possibility of a nuclear free Korean peninsula.
