>> He may be caught up in a legal battle in Rio, but US swimmer Ryan Lochte has landed a new endorsement deal. The 32 year old apologised for an exaggerated story about being robbed at gun point after a party during the Rio Olympics. The athlete then lost all four of his major sponsors including Speedo USA and Ralph Lauren.
But as the Brazilian police recommend he be charged with falsely reporting a crime, Pine Bros softish throat drops says it has signed the 12 time Olympic medallist for TV and print ads. Lochte's account being help up made international news and embarrassed the host city. But then it came out that Lochte and this teammates have committed an act of vandalism at a gas station and found guilty in Rio.
He could face a fine. Teammates Jimmy Feigen agreed last week to pay nearly $11,000 in compensation to a charity for having the same charges dropped.
