>> US gymnastics phenom Simone Biles winning her first Olympic gold Tuesday, after helping the American women's team to their second successive victory. Russia claiming silver, China picking up bronze. 19 year old newcomer Biles defending the gold for the 2012 champions, who beat second place Russia by an astounding eight point margin.
Her standout and near perfect floor routine earning a score of 15.8, the highest of all the competitors.>> The power that she packs into those tumbling routines, and the dominance that she has really over every other gymnast in the world right now, is just remarkable. And I think we talked to gymnasts who came out of that event, a Chinese gymnast and a Russian gymnast, who said they were marveling over Simone's performance today and her general dominance in the field of gymnastics right now.
So yeah, she's that good, and by quite a big margin.>> The win sets up 4'9" Biles for a gold sweep. She's hoping to come back home to the States with five gold medals.
