When Trump declined to endorse Ryan last week, widely seen as revenge for Ryan's slowness to endorse Trump once he secured the Republican nomination, interest in Nehlen's candidacy briefly spiked. But it was not enough to unseat the highest ranking elected Republican in the United States.
