>> Offering condolences to Serbs who lost loved ones in the US led NATO airstrikes. Vice President Joe Biden visiting Belgrade on Tuesday, the first high ranking US official to do so. Resentment over the 1999 Kosovo conflict still runs high in the Serbian capitol. Which bears the scars of the air strikes.
Hundreds of Serbian ultra-nationalists protesting against the visit chanting their support for Donald Trump. The man Biden says, is making the United States less safe. Serbia does not recognize Kosovo which declared Independence from Serbia in 2008. Biden urged the two to normalize relations. He's heading to Kosovo next where he's likely to receive a warm welcome.
The United States is popular among Kosovars who regard Washington as their savior for halting killings by Serbian forces wages a counter insurgency war.
