> A failed rocket assault on an airport in South-East Turkey. Local media reporting that suspected Kurdish militants fired four rockets at a police checkpoint outside Diabaka terminal late Saturday. The missiles reportedly landed on wasteland nearby, causing no casualties. Kurdish militants have waged an insurgency in the region for some three decades.
The attack comes days after Turkish military pushed into Syria to drive back both Kurdish rebels and Islamic State fighters from the border. The offensive ratcheting up over the weekend. Turkey's war planes pounding sides they say held by the Kurdish YPG militia. The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights says the strikes killed at least 20 civilians on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Turkey has reported its first death in the campaign, it says a soldier was killed on Saturday when a rocket hits a tank.
