That would Schwarzenegger to channel his long running war of words with President Donald Trump. For a time, Schwarzenegger had Trump's old job, host of NBC's Celebrity Apprentice. Trump, who's still the show's executive producer, slammed him for bad ratings. And Schwarzenegger hit right back, openly mocking Trump's performance as president, even suggesting they switch jobs.
The 69 year old would come to Washington as one of Trump's most formidable conservative critics, attracting cameras almost as easily as The Donald. And could call him out with a part ways on issues like climate change and immigration. Like Trump, Schwarzenegger knows a thing or two about political long shots paying off.
Derided when he ran for California governor as a Republican in a 2003 special election, he ended up serving for almost eight years.
