The Taliban denied any link but is still active. Just a week ago attacking a police station and an office of the intelligence services in Kabul.
Wednesday's attack on a hospital treating military casualties from around Afghanistan drew wide condemnation, President Ashraf Ghani saying it trampled on all human values.
