nnat California governor Jerry Brown declaring a state of emergency Sunday after a wild fire engulfed forty thousand acres in less than twenty four hours , more than a thousand firefighters are now battling what has been named the valley fire , started Saturday in Lake County northwest of Sacramento , quickly spread to napa county , prompting the evacuation of thousands of residents from the area , so far or firefighters have been hospitalized with second degree burns , all four are reported to be in stable condition , California firefighters were already struggling to contain a separate blade , dubbed the Butte fire , flared up Wednesday about seventy miles south east of Sacramento , the view expire which is now reported to be twenty percent contained covers more than sixty five thousand acres and is burned eighty six homes and fifty one other buildings
