>> In a reversal of what has consistently been his boss's position, Reince Priebus on Sunday saying Donald Trump accepts the US intelligence community's conclusion that Russia was behind cyber attacks meant to disrupt the presidential election. The incoming White House chief of staff, making the comments on Fox News Sunday, adding that Trump may take action in response to the attacks based on advice from intelligence officials.
Priebus' remark a total 180 from Trump's repeated refusals to accept that Russia was behind the hacks into democratic party organizations during the campaign. In fact, on Saturday, just one day before Priebus' appearance, Trump Tweeted, only reason the hacking of the poorly defended DNC is discussed is that the loss by the Dems was so big that they are totally embarrassed!
He also played up having close ties with Russia by saying, only stupid people, or fools that it is bad to have a good relationship with Russia. But fellow Republicans have continued to turn up the heat on Trump to accept the findings. Priebus may be trying to do a little damage Image control as a crucial test of Republican support comes this week with the first confirmation hearings of Trump's cabinet picks.
Trump received the full intelligence briefing on the Russian cyber attacks on Friday.
