>> After a year of sporting success for Britain, the country's top athletes are being honored. Mo Farah, who won two gold medals at the Rio Olympics, and tennis champion, Andy Murray, are both in line for a knighthood. Along with the athletes, stars from the world of fashion and show business are also being recognized.
Kinks musician, Ray Davies, becomes a Sir, while former Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham, gets an OBE for services to the fashion industry. Elsewhere in the fashion world, Vogue's editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, and accessories designer, Anya Hindmarch, also winning awards. The honors are given out by Queen Elizabeth twice a year, once on her official birthday in June and then again at the end of the year.
They celebrate success and ensure outstanding achievements don't go unrecognized.
