>> Crews working through the night to clear ice off roads in Fargo. With blizzard conditions forecast across North and South Dakota Monday. The National Weather Service saying the winter storm is set to strengthen with heavy snow fall and strong winds over the area. Freezing rain and ice expected to sweep across parts of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan.
In Minneapolis icy conditions causing a semi-truck to flip on to its side. It was carrying 40,000 pounds of chocolate, no one was hurt.>> You're driving along, the roadway seems fine it's just wet. It's raining out, it seems that it's just a rainy day. But then you catch that very small patch of ice and that's what gonna send you spinning off the road.
>> Snow also blanketing parts of the southwest. Images from early Sunday show a deadly car wreck in Salt Lake City. Utah highway patrols said a driver lost control and collided with two other vehicles. Police say he was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene. Heavy snow shutting down highways in Arizona over the weekend.
Flagstaff transformed from a desert mesa into a winter wonderland. So far, the weather having a limited impact on holiday air travel as major hubs continue to operate in Minneapolis, Chicago, and Denver.
