>> Britain's Queen Elizabeth too ill to attend church on Christmas Day. What the Palace described as a heavy cold keeping the Queen, who celebrated her 90th birthday this year, indoors. The longest reigning monarch alive has attended the Christmas service at a church in Sandringham, Eastern England, every year since 1988.
Her husband, Prince Philip, age 95, went along as usual with other members of the Royal Family. The Queen will take part in Christmas celebrations with them for the rest of the day, the Palace said. After more than six decades on the throne, the Queen announced this week she would cut back official duties.
It's not clear if she's ever missed a Christmas church service before.
