Earlier Friday, Trump telling the New York Times the focus on Russian hacking allegations is a, quote, political witch hunt somehow engineered by Democrats. They got beaten very badly in the election, Trump told the Times. They are very embarrassed about it. The government plans to release an unclassified version of its full report later Friday.
Amid a drip of anonymous leaks, making the intelligence communities case that Putin is responsible for the cyber attacks. Trump says he will ask Congress to investigate how NBC got its hands on what he called top secret details from the report before they reached his desk.
