>> At least 5 people have been killed and up to 16 others injured after two men attacked a Christian church in Pakistan. The suicide attackers opened fire inside the building in Quetta city in the southwest of the country before being stopped by police guards. Pakistan's government says the gunmen were wearing explosive filled vests, and stormed the church when Sunday services had just opened, exploding a suicide vest and shooting at the worshipers.
Police saying that church guards exchanged fire with the attackers before they could enter the main sanctuary. The provincial police chief said around 400 people were in the church, and that officers killed one of the attackers. According to police, Christian churches in the region often have to have police guards in place as they can be targeted by Islamic extremist groups.
