>> Israel is closing it's Gaza border crossings. That's in response to daily rocket fire from Palestine. Ever since US president, Donald Trump, recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Some 15 rockets have been fired into southern Israel since Trump's announcement. Israel reportedly responded to the latest attacks by striking training camps and weapons storage compounds belonging to the militant group, Hamas.
In a statement, the Israeli military said the recent security situation had caused them to close the main transit points for goods entering the Gaza Strip and the Erez pedestrian crossing. No one has yet said how long the closures will last. Israeli airstrikes have so far killed two Hamas gunmen, while two other Palestinians have been killed in clashes with Israeli troops during protests along the border.
