>> Roy Moore denies it.>> President Donald Trump on Monday endorsed Roy Moore on Twitter. Trump throwing his way behind the embattled Alabama Republican ahead of next week's special election. Moore has been accused by several women of sexual assault and misconduct when they were teenagers. One as young as 14 and when he was in his early 30s.
Reuters has not been able to independently verify those allegations. He's denied the allegations against him, arguing they were, quote, simply dirty politics. Trump on Twitter said Republicans needed more to win in order to secure votes on key issues such as immigration. Writing quote, Democrats refusal to give even on vote for massive Tax Cuts is why we need Republican Roy Moore to win in Alabama.
A CBS poll of likely voters released Sunday showed Moore leading his Democrat opponent, Doug Jones, by six points.
