>> A school bus ride brought to a deadly halt in Southern France. At least four teenagers were killed after a speeding train plowed through the bus on Thursday. The impact sliced the bus in half, injuring 20 others with 11 in critical condition, most of them 13 to 17 years old.
Witnesses reported hearing the collision from over a kilometer away.>>
> Getting information to families has been hard, because of difficulties in identifying those killed and some of the injured.>> France has been rocked by a number of serious rail accidents in recent years. In 2013, at least six people died after a train derailment near Paris.
So far, authorities have only been able to confirm Thursday's train was traveling below the speed limit. The cause of the collision has yet to be determined.
