rth Korea says this will push tensions to the brink of nuclear war. Flybys over South Korea on Monday kicking off the beginning of a week of a large scale military drills between the US and ally Seoul. With six F-22 Raptor stealth fighters running exercises along with more than 200 planes and 12,000 US service members.
It's a big show of defiance after Pyongyang tested one of its most advanced missile ever last week. Military officials said the annual exercises are meant to ensure peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula. However, the North points to drills like these as part of why it keeps testing missiles and nuclear weapons.
On Sunday, the North's state media said that Trump's administration was begging for war with this latest exercise and called the US President quote insane.>>
