This after more than 1,000 flights were cancelled Sunday when the world's busiest airport went dark, with international flights rerouted to other airports.
e power outage lasted nearly 11 hours Sunday, leaving passengers stranded in dark terminals, and aircraft paralyzed on the tarmac. Georgia Power, which generates much of the state's electricity, said the failure was linked to a fire in an underground facility that damaged access to a backup system.
And came at one of the busiest travel seasons at an airport that already serves an average of roughly 275,000 passengers a day.
