>> The chestnut colt, Justify, ran his way into the history books on Saturday, winning thoroughbred racing's triple crown with a victory at the Belmont Stakes in New York. He's now just the second horse to take the crown since 1978 and 13th overall. Jockey Mike Smith navigated Justify through a field of nine challengers.
Justify finished the 1.5 mile course in 2 minutes and 28.18 seconds. The victory is the second Triple Crown for trainer Bob Baffert. He trained the last Triple Crown winner, American Pharaoh, in 2015. With the win, three-year-old Justify is now undefeated in six starts.
