Russia's para-athletes broadcasting a message of defiance, after losing their appeal to compete in the Rio Olympics. Speaking together, they say people are often upset over nonsense. They rage against their fate, when they might as well smile. People do not understand what real despair is and don't know it's easy to be happy.
The decision to exclude Russia's team means over 260 competitors will miss the event. Moscow said earlier the ban would punish innocent athletes. Rights campaigners say disabled people in Russia are routinely discriminated against and given inadequate State support. The nation's paralympians are some of the best in the world.
In a passing message, this paralympic swimmer says the games will be worse without the Russian team.
