>> Reports of a double execution in North Korea, under special orders from Kim Jong-un. A South Korean newspaper on Tuesday saying, two top officials have been killed by anti-aircraft gun. One of them apparently for falling asleep during a meeting with the supreme leader. Reuters can't independently verify the report, but if it is true, it could be seen as Kim laying down the law after a string of high profile defections by senior Pyongyang officials.
Including North Korea's Deputy Ambassador in London, who recently fled to the South. North Korea rarely announces executions and when it does, it's normally because Kim wants to send a firm clear message. Like when he had his own uncle killed a few years ago, apparently for conspiring against him.
