>> Police have arrested a Central Michigan University student suspected of shooting dead his parents. The incident happened inside a campus dormitory on Friday, during what police described as a domestic dispute. The suspect, 19-year-old James Eric Davis, Jr., fled the scene prompting a day-long manhunt. Police in helicopters and patrol cars scoured the area, putting the campus and its more than 20,000 students on lockdown.
Davis Jr. was finally arrested shortly after midnight on Saturday, when he was spotted on a train at the north end of the university's campus, and taken into custody without incident. The shooting comes just over two weeks after 17 students and educators were killed by a 19-year-old gunman with an assault-style rifle at a Florida high school.
