>> Every President has his own thing after leaving the White House. Jimmy Carter has Habitat for Humanity, George W Bush has painting, and now Barack Obama may have Netflix. According to the New York Times the Former US President is in advance talks with the streaming service to produce a series of high profile shows.
Under the terms of a proposed deal, Netflix will pay Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama for exclusive content the Times reported, citing sources familiar with the matter. The company decline to comment of the report. Obama will not use his Netflix shows to respond to President Trump or conservative critics, the paper said, and has instead talked about producing shows highlighting inspirational stories.
Last year, Penguin Random House landed a deal to publish two books by the Obama's with one volume to be written by each. The deal followed a heated auction for global rights to the books, with bidding that reached more than $60 million, a record sum for US Presidential memoirs, according to the Financial Times.
>> Put the desk lamp together.>> It wouldn't be the first time Obama appeared on Netflix. He was David Letterman's first guest on his new Netflix series, which premiered in January.>> It should've taken like five minutes.
