China has always been an imperial state. It doesn't matter, it has its title of Communist, now capitalism, but it's a fatalistic society. So a changed leader or not changing leader, the system and the culture always stays the same. China is my nation. I hold Chinese passport even after so much tragic things, not only happen to my generation, but also my father's generation.
My father was a poet, but terribly exiled, forbidden to write. And so in those sense, I will never take this personal. I would say this is a struggle of a nation, of people, and become modernized. And there's so much that need to be done, and the struggle is going on.
