>> British officials are telling people who went to this pub or restaurant in Salisbury on March the 4th to wash their possessions. And that's because these establishments were also visited on the same day by former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia. They remain in a critical but stable condition a week after they were poisoned with a nerve agent and found unconscious on a bench in the southern English city.
>> But we have now learnt that there has been some trace contamination by the nerve agent in both the male pub and Zizzi restroom in Salisbury. I am confident that this has not harmed the health of anyone who was in the male pub or Zizzi's restroom. However some people are concerned that prolonged long term exposure to these substances may over weeks and particularly months give rise to health problems.
>> An investigation is ongoing in the UK. That probe is looking at over 240 pieces of evidence and has identified over 200 witnesses. Skripal was jailed by Moscow for allegedly betraying dozens of spies to British intelligence. Before being latter released in a spy swap involving the US. The Kremlin denies any involvement in the incident.
The British government has said it will respond, quote, appropriately, if a foreign state is found to have been behind the poisoning.
