COMING UP:Share Opener Variant 3

>> Republicans are scrambling to avoid an embarrassing defeat in Pennsylvania Tuesday, in a special election for an open seat in Congress. A new poll released Monday shows Democrat Conor Lamb poised for a possible upset over conservative Republican Rick Saccone, in the heart of Trump Country. The Monmouth University Poll showing Lamb ahead of Saccone by six points, in the battle for the blue collar district that went strongly for Donald Trump.
>> Cuz I believe that we have to keep our promises as a people.>> Lamb is a 33 year old marine veteran, and former federal prosecutor running as a centrist. The race serving as an early proxy in the battle for control of Congress, with both the House of Representatives and the Senate up for grabs in November.
On Saturday, Trump swooped in for one of his signature free willing rallies.>> Vote for Rick, he'll never ever disappoint you, he's a winner.>> But he dwelt much more on defending his own policies than on helping Saccone.>> We are building the wall.>> 100%.>> 100%.
>> It's vitally important that you send an ally of the president, an ally of your families to Washington, cuz we have a country to save, folks.>> Republicans have spent more than $10 million to defend the seat. All of that and a last minute boost Monday from Trump's son Donald Jr., may not be enough to overcome what analysts say looks like a surge of enthusiasm among Democratic voters.
