But there are signs Trump is still wavering a day before unveiling his choice. Campaign reporter Steve Holland is on the story.>> Some of Donald Trump's senior campaign advisors made some phone calls to Capital HIll today saying that Trump had settled on Mike Pence as his Vice Presidential choice.
Now, the Trump campaign is pushing back about this saying that still no decision has been made.>> A former congressman with rock solid, conservative credentials. Pence checks plenty of boxes for Trump, even though he endorsed Ted Cruz in the primaries. Trump desperate to unify the party ahead of the Republican Convention next week in Cleveland with many of the GOPs stars boycotting.
>> It's sort of a struggle between Trump's mind and his heart. His heart is with people like Newt Gingrich and Chris Christie. Similar very out there individuals Newt today on Facebook Live said, it would be like having two pirates on the same ticket. But Trump's family and his campaign staff have made pretty clear that look Mike Pence is a safe choice.
Someone you really need to help sort of bridge the divide in Republican Party and get ready for the election. So, it's just a struggle to get Trump, corral him into that position.
