>> Chaos inside Istanbul's massive airport Tuesday, caught on social media. As travelers cowered in terror after bomb blasts rocked the terminal. Officials say, at least ten people are dead after two suicide bombers detonated their devices before passing a security check point. A government official saying an attacker opened fire with a rifle as well.
Police reportedly returned fire. Witnesses telling local TV, airport taxis ferried the wounded to nearby hospitals. One station reporting around 40 were injured. Turkey has been rocked by a series of suicide bombings. Earlier in June an attack on a police bus killed 11 in Istanbul, blamed on Kurdish separatists.
A bombing in the capital of Ankara in October killed more than 100 civilians. And the perpetrators are suspected of having ties to Islamic State. Tuesday's attack in Turkey, a double suicide bombing targeting a major airport, markedly similar to an ISIS attack earlier this year in Brussels, which investigators believe was carried out by militants also involved in last year's Paris attacks.
