>> Flags lowered to half staff on Friday to mourn the victims of the Dallas sniper ambush and crowds gathered in the city to remember the five police officers shot dead. So far, three of them have been identified by officials or relatives. Transit police officer Brent Thompson spent more than four years in Iraq working for a private US military contractor as a trainer and only two weeks ago he married a fellow transit officer according to media reports.
His Facebook page showed the life of a devoted father and yet numerous Pro-police memes on his timeline, some of which mocked the Black Lives Matter movement. Although Friday, it was all cleared up, leaving just a couple photos in its place. Navy Veteran Patrick Zamarripa served three tours in Iraq.
Addicted to the thrill of this job, I own the night. I love my country, Texas, family, God, friends, and sports. Patrick wrote on his Twitter profile. The third to be identified by a Sheriff's office in Michigan was Michael Kroll, who was with the Dallas police department. He previously worked in Michigan.
