>> A move sending shockwaves through the world of basketball. Former NBA MVP Kevin Durant, the biggest prize in the free agent market, announcing Monday he'll join the Golden State Warriors. Durant, a four time league scoring champion and seven time All Star who spent the first nine years of his career with the Oklahoma City Thunder, saying he's excited to leave his quote, comfort zone, to a new city and community which offers the greatest potential for my contributions and personal growth.
Durant, whose former Thunder was one win shy of reaching the finals this year, also met with the LA Clippers, Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat, before making his decision. He'll join reigning MVP Steph Curry on a formidable team that nabbed the NBA title in 2015, and knocked him out of playoffs this season.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Durant is reportedly expected to sign a two year, $54.3 million contract with the Warriors.
