>> Roger Ailes, CEO of Fox News and one of the most influential men in media, accused by one of his network's most recognizable female anchors of sexual harassment in a lawsuit filed Wednesday.>> Time for my take now.>> According to a copy of a eight page complaint former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson says she was wrongfully fired last month after 11 years.
And her career at Fox News sabotaged because she wouldn't have sex with Ailes. In the lawsuit, she accuses Ailes of saying, quote, I think you and I should have had a sexual relationship a long time ago. And then you'd be good and better. Alleging he went on to say, sometimes problems are easier to solve that way.
She also claims that she was retaliated against because of complaints of quote severe and pervasive sexual harassment. The lawsuit is rare for a man who is used to dictating the news, not being part of it. Her lawsuit doesn't take aim at Ailes alone. She mentions former co-host Steve Doocy as part of a Fox newsroom that is sexually hostile towards women.
Ailes says her allegations are untrue, while Fox News says it is conducting an internal review into her claims.
