Israel's Attorney General has confirms plans to bring three corruption cases against prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu with charges including bribery fraud and breach of public trust whether the charges are ultimately brought will depend on a court hearing where the prime minister can try to persuade the Attorney General not to indict him regardless though Netanyahu has no intention to resign reports of the investigation into him I've been running for a long time and he's denied any wrongdoing , difficult to the prime minister is suspected of wrong fully accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in gifts from wealthy businessman and also giving favors in exchange for favorable news coverage at a paper and a website a conviction could hand him up to ten years in prison , a date for the hearing hasn't been set yet but it will likely occur after the national election on April ninth an election where he's already facing very stiff opposition Netanyahu's political party is closing ranks around their leader they're calling the ordeal quote political persecution
