In the complaints, the Girl Scouts also said the Boy Scouts had no right to monopolize words like, scouts or scouting. Since that also sparked confusion that both programs were under they Boy Scouts control. The lawsuits filed in Manhattan Federal Courts is an attempt by the Girl Scouts. To avert an erosion of its brand and membership, also a problem for the Boy Scouts.
