a stabbing spree in Japan on Tuesday has left two people dead including a twelve year old girl according to Japan's national broadcaster it happened at a bus stop just outside Tokyo fifteen other young girls have been hurt along with one woman who's been severely injured in each case as the girls aged between six and twelve were boarding their school bus when the suspect attacked them the driver of the bus told police he saw the man approached the bus stop holding the knife in both hands and began to slash people in each case says along with the young girl a thirty nine year old man was killed on the scene the suspect a man in his fifties has also been declared dead police told NHK he had stabbed himself in the neck before he was detained two knives were found at the scene , I saw kids screaming and crying other kids and people at the scene look too shocked to do anything I didn't know what I could do for them violent crime in Japan is rare it has strict gun control laws but occasionally some high profile incidents have shocked the country that includes a stabbing spree in two thousand and ten on two buses near Tokyo which injured more than a dozen people
