fans began gathering Monday evening outside angel stadium in Anaheim California to mourn the sudden death of the team's starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs the twenty seven year old was found unresponsive in his hotel room outside Dallas hours earlier Skaggs was in Texas with the angels for a three game series against the Rangers Monday's game was postponed following his death just a really sad situation obviously and %HESITATION , obviously keep in our thoughts and prayers but also have just the perspective of you know how fragile well you know life as police chief Val play or suicide are not suspected in its death Skaggs his wife Carlie reportedly posted a photo on social media saying heart disease ran in Tyler's family Skaggs was married just seven months ago when it was twelve days shy of his twenty eighth birthday the guy that I met shook his hand talk to and he signed my issue , everything and not snow that he's just gone into it that's why this hurt so much because not only is he an amazing player but he's even a better person it's just shocking to me because we're here Saturday night when he pitched and just the way two days goes by and now he's gone just , just devastated yeah devastating Skaggs was drafted by the angels in the first round of the two thousand nine draft he was a regular starter since two thousand sixteen and pitched against the Oakland eighties just two days before his death
