more than twenty democratic presidential hopefuls descended on South Carolina this weekend making their case to boaters on who will be the strongest candidate to defeat Donald Trump we can make up to four years of damage is done but eight years of damage will be almost impossible to get back on Friday twenty two candidates made their pitches at U. S. house majority whip James Cliburn's fish fry as they battle bugs and the sticky summer heat in the critical primary state next year , and on Saturday the candidate spoke at the South Carolina Democratic Party convention and attended a Planned Parenthood forum to discuss abortion which is becoming an issue that is galvanizing Democrats as Republicans across the country are stepping up their efforts to limit access to legal abortion we have an American majority for a woman's right to choose we need to be proud of that fact is not just an attack on women it's an attack on women who have fewer resources it's a class attack on women it's a great , we've done it the events this weekend also gave candidates who are struggling in the polls and opportunity to break out ahead of next week's first primary debate make no mistake if president trump wants a war on America's women it's a war he's going to have and it's a war he's going to lose , South Carolina will be the fourth state to vote early next year right now twenty four Democrats are vying for their party's nomination giving voters plenty to choose from , and while hopes of a Democrat taking South Carolina are slim in the general election the candidates are keeping up their energy and their charm in hopes of getting an early boost in the primary
