we will likely proceed to court Democrats in Congress are suing the I. arrests in the U. S. treasury department in their latest effort to get president Donald trump's tax returns while I'm on the right as I would not give my taxes the suit filed by the house ways and means committee on Tuesday cited the treasury's refusal to comply with the request for the president's tax information it added that the defendants have mounted an extraordinary attack on the authority of Congress to obtain information needed to conduct oversight of treasury the IRS and the tax laws on behalf of the American people the democratic led panel in may issued subpoenas for treasury secretary Stephen minu chin and IRS commissioner Charles Reddick who were both named in the suit but the officials defied the subpoenas with managing claiming there was no legitimate legislative purpose and the Democrats request for trump's taxes but I think you can gas which way were leaning on our subpoena the lawsuit will now ask the court to force the administration to comply with the subpoenas the probe into trump's taxes is one of many investigations under way on Capitol Hill
