north Korean leader Kim Jong hoon says a breakdown in talks with the United States has raised the risk of reviving tensions between the two countries , that's according to north Korean state media on Saturday Kim also saying he's interested in further talks with US president Donald Trump if the U. S. comes to the table with the right attitude but that's only until the end of this year , reportedly made the speech on Friday to north Korea's supreme people's assembly the remarks coming just a day after trump said he was open to meeting came for third time , yeah so it could happen trump also saying during the meeting in Washington with south Korean president the genuine the US would possessed with a series of biting sanctions aimed at North Korea but I think that sanctions are a great now at a level that's a fair level and I I really believe something very significant going to happen we could always increase them but I didn't want to do that at this time trump sanction remarks drew a reaction from Pyongyang with Kim saying the US strategy of applying pressure by a sanctions was like quote trying to put out a fire with oil Kim also deaths trumps hopes of another meeting saying the outcome of the Hanoi summit early this year with talks ended suddenly without an agreement had forced him to question his strategy of international engagement saying the US came to the table with quote completely on realizable plan and that even a hundred four thousand meetings would end in the same results without a change in Washington approach him adding that while he's personal relationship with trump remains positive Pyongyang had no interest in a repeat of Hanoi saying he would be patient to the new year but the quote it would be hard to get as good a chance as last time
