my heart goes out to the family of Timothy pets in federal prosecutors on Friday charged ex convict Brian Michael Rini for falsely claiming to be Illinois teen Timothy pets in who went missing in two thousand eleven the United States has proceeded to file a federal criminal charge against Brian Rini %HESITATION for lying to a federal agent within the jurisdiction of the United States %HESITATION the crime in this case is %HESITATION punishable by up to eight years in federal prison Rini who is twenty three years old showed up on Wednesday in Newport Kentucky where he told police that he had escaped kidnappers and claim to be the lost boy who would now be fourteen years old telling them he had broken free from an eight year ordeal at the hands of sex traffickers but a public records search in Ohio should Rini was released from the Belmont correctional institution on March seventh where he had been serving fourteen months for burglary and vandalism Mr Rini told agents that he learned this information from watching a twenty twenty episode about Timothy pets in the news raised hopes that the long lost boy had been found but a DNA test on Thursday soon dashed those expectations an awful we've been on tenterhooks we've been , but as Kerr said I feel so sorry for the young man who's obviously had a horrible time and felt the need to say he was someone else , and hope that they can find his family the last time Timothy was seen in public nearly a decade ago was this image of him checking out of a Wisconsin water park with his mother Amy she had pulled her son out of school and taking him on a road trip visiting us you and the park days later she committed suicide in a motel room leaving a note saying her son was somewhere safe with people who love him she wrote quote you will never find him law enforcement officers say they won't give up the search as for Rini he is being held without bond and his detention hearing will be held on Tuesday
