Twitter's attempts to clean up its act appears to be paying off the social media company Tuesday not only posted a surprise pick up a monthly active users it also boasted better than expected quarterly sales monthly active users jumped to three hundred and thirty million users and advertisers appear to be responding favorably to Twitter's efforts to delete spam accounts and better police posts like its peers Twitter has come under fire for helping to spread hate speech bullying and political misinformation the quarterly results so promising investors are willing to overlook a sales outlook that was way below analysts' forecasts she has of Twitter surged sixteen percent Twitter admitted that it will have to continue spending heavily to monitor activity as well as plan for new services and other improvements as it continues to compete for ad dollars gobbled up by larger rivals Facebook and Google
