>> A suspected explosive device was found Monday at the home of George Soros. Police say a package containing what appeared to be a letter bomb was found in a mailbox outside the New York residence of the billionaire financier. The New York Times says Soros was not at home at the time.
And the package was detonated by bomb squad technicians in nearby woodland. Soros is one of the world's biggest donors to liberal groups and causes. He's become a hate figure for right wing campaigners in the United States and Eastern Europe. As well as the target of a hostile media campaign by the nationalist government in his native, Hungary.
A Hungarian government spokesman has declined to comment on the incident. The discovery was made at Soros' home in Katonah, New York. An employee opened a package revealing what appeared to be an explosive device. The FBI now said to be looking into the incident.
