>> Finalist cities that could be host to Amazon's 2nd headquarters are battling it out to the end. New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo taking it a step further on Monday, telling WCBS 880, he'd even change his name.>> I think we put together a tremendous proposal. We have a great incentive package.
Anything else I can think of that'll get us over the top. Anything they want named Amazon. I'll change my name to Amazon Cuomo, if that's what it takes.>> The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday that Amazon is planning on splitting HQ2 evenly between two locations, rather than picking one city.
The retailer previously announced a planned investment of $5 billion and 50,000 jobs for the second headquarters. Under the new plan, HQ2 would be split across two cities with 25,000 employees in each. Advanced talks are underway in Dallas and Crystal City, Virginia, just outside Washington D.C., also vying for the title.
While HQ2 would boost the host city's economy, critics have said it would increase already high housing costs. And expand divide between rich and poor.
