>> I think, like everyone, this kind of came out of left field.>> Prosecutors in Pennsylvania say, Lehigh University black student, Juwan Royal has been poisoned multiple times, allegedly by none other than his roommate. And now 22 year old Chinese student, Yukai Yang, is under arrest on charges of attempted murder.

>> Mr. Royal experienced extreme pain in his lower extremities, as well as severe burning and numbness.>> Yang is set to appear in court next month to face charges that he put a component of rat poison called thallium in Royal's milk and mouthwash. Yang had already been under investigation for charges of ethnic intimidation for allegedly scrawling a racist message on Royal's desk.

That's when authorities believe he began trying to poison Royal.>> Mr. Royal explained that he remembered drinking water from a bottle in mid February and immediately felt a burning sensation on his tongue.>> Yang and Royal had been roommates since freshman year, Yang graduated last spring.>> At least Juwan thought of himself to be friends, with Yukai.
