>> They were heading for Cairo's famed pyramids when their bus was hit. Three Vietnamese tourists and an Egyptian guide were killed when a roadside bomb exploded here, not far from the Giza site. At least ten others were also injured. The Egyptian security forces taking swift action Saturday, killing 40 suspected militants following the bombing.
The Ministry of Interior didn't say whether the suspected militants were connected to Friday's attack. But said its forces killed 30 people during raids on their hideouts in Giza. Where it said, quote, terrorist elements were planning a series of attacks targeting state institutions and the tourism industry. The other ten were killed in North Sinai, where the country is fighting an insurgency led by Islamic State.
The bus was heading to a sound and light show at the pyramids. Scenes like these will be a major blow to Egypt's tourist industry which has seen numbers fall in recent years.
