a lot of tenants are going to be looking for cheaper digs and a lot of fixed income single family homeowners will have no option but to sell after being rebuffed in New York that's the sort of opposition Amazon is now facing in northern Virginia where it plans to build that second headquarters critics of Amazon's Virginia plans voice their concerns Saturday before Arlington local officials voted on a proposed financial package worth an estimated fifty one million dollars because they have not shown that they share our communities values in November the Jeff Bezos owned giant to northern Virginia along with New York for its so called H. Q. two but in February it abruptly scrapped its plans to build the New York after mounting resistance from local leaders who were upset by the incentives promised to Amazon and we're looking at at a deal that was not primarily putting the community first and that same issue has re emerged the fifty one million dollar incentive in Virginia includes a controversial cash grants of twenty three million dollars to Amazon over fifteen years which will be collected from taxes on Arlington hotel rooms meeting tourists and business travelers are expected to pick up much of that bill
